■This advisory is to inform you that Intersil has updated the data sheet specification for the listed ICL7660A* and ICL7660S* products. The updates require the use of an external Schottky diode from the VOUT to CAP- pins in some applications in order to guarantee latch-up free operation. Details regarding the use of the Schottky diode are contained in item 6 of the Do’s and Don’ts section located on page 8 of the data sheet.
